Answers start with the letters “pi”.
Pi Day, March 14, is just around the corner, and it’s time to begin preparation. There are several activities my class does each year, and Pi Day Wordies is one of their favorites. To make this activity, I sat down with a dictionary and found forty words beginning with the letters “pi”, then wrote short contextual sentences for each one. These are available for you in the pdf file Pi Day Wordies, so they will print well at your site. I use them on the overhead projector with a blank piece of paper covering all but the first sentence. The answers are at the bottom of each page, so be careful not to reveal them when playing the game. You and your students will have a wonderful time with this. Be sure to send comments about your class!
